Campus Optics
CampusOptics provides a wide range of tools to help manage safety, notably including:
Chemical Inventory Management
- A centralized system to record, organize, and track hazardous chemicals.
- All chemicals logged in CampusOptics must be barcoded using labels provided by EH&S.
- To upload your initial inventory, submit the completed Chemical Inventory Spreadsheet below to EH&S at ehs@msstate.edu.
Safety Asset Tracking
- Logging and monitoring of essential safety equipment such as emergency showers/eyewash stations, chemical fume hoods, hazardous chemical waste satellite accumulation areas, and biological safety cabinets.
- Please reach out to EH&S (ehs@msstate.edu) if safety equipment has been newly installed or removed from spaces under your purview.
Safety Inspections
- Streamlined scheduling and documentation for routine EH&S certifications, safety station self-inspections, satellite accumulation area (SAA) self-inspections, and other compliance checks.
- Reach out to EH&S (ehs@msstate.edu) if you or your department would like to establish new safety inspection templates.
